The SMT Process / Equipment Engineer works within the Tianjin Proto Operations Centre and has overall responsibility for supporting all aspects of the surface mount process as well associated equipment during prototype builds. - The individual works with Hardware design teams, In region NPI Product Engineers as well as Junior Prototype Operations Regional Program Managers to ensure that prototypes take place on time Description of Responsibilities - The individual is responsible for ensuring that the equipment is capable and process is set up to assemble, reflow, rout and underfill the boards as their recipe requires. He is also responsible for ensuring that programs (Including feeder set ups), fixtures and solder paste stencils as well as build documentation is available for each build. - Additionally he is responsible for ensuring that all information is gathered per prototype build, including build reports with recommendations on how those issues should be improved. - The individual may be required to attend lead site preparation meetings, lead sites, development centres and suppliers. - The individual can perform Valor analysis on the pcb layout and highlight any severity 1, 2&3 issues Job Requirement - Manufacturing or mechanical engineering degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience or no degree and 10+ years of relevant experience within the manufacturing and Telecoms / High Tech business sector. - Previous assembly experience of phone / small electrical / consumer goods assembly is vital.
