Responsible for driving product assembly and mechanical strategies during the early program development process. 2. Interface with Development Engineering and Lead manufacturing sites to identify and resolve mechanical and assembly issues during the prototype stages and introduction into high volume manufacturing. 3. Ensure product meets all quality and velocity goals. 4. Responsible for Product Risk Assessment&FMEA"s 5. Perform Design Compliance Reviews to J05 6. Participate in Assembly Review Board Assessments 7. DFA Analysis on New products 8. Participate in creating Build Instructions (MPS) 9. Support all prototype builds during product development life cycle 10. Support Product Transfer from GNPO (Proto Center) to EMS (Production Mfg Location) 11. Optimize supplier manufacturing processes 12. Participate in design of tools and fixtures for assembly Requirement 1. Min 1 year of experience in cellular phone or related environment 2. Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) required. 3. Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes (injection molding, sheet metal and castings) Preferred 4. Posses a working knowledge of worst-case and statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning and geometric tolerancing 5. Possess analytical/problem solving skills, data acquisition skills, and ability to use statistical tools and techniques. 6. Basic computer skills, Pro/Engineer preferred and working knowledge of common business applications. 7.
