Opportunity to immerse oneself within a market leader Our client is one of the leading multinational conglomerates specialising in distribution of luxury goods. With rapid expansion plans, they are seeking a proven finance professional to join their business Shenzhen or Guangzhou. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will have ultimate responsibility for the finance and accounting functions of the Company’s Southern China operations. You will exercise controls over regional financial operations through Business Unit Heads in order to direct consolidation activities of account books. Leading a large team, you will ensure the integrity of financial reports in compliance with PRC GAAP. Key responsibilities include implementing budgetary and expenditure control measures that are aligned with business objectives as well as formulating and implementing financial and accounting policies. You will also provide detailed reports and make recommendations to the management on the effectiveness of current internal control processes and the PRC tax environment. You will be a qualified accountant with at least 6 - 8 years’ experience gained within large multinational corporations. Prior trading experience and knowledge of the PRC market is a must. A key success determinant will be the ability to demonstrate initiative and display strong business acumen in a value-adding manner. Outstanding interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin are essential.
