Job Description A Technical Consultant position based in Beijing to work with the Developer Capture Team to focus on software developers who do software development. We do this by working with developers on: Evangelize Sun"s opensource strategy and direction Porting (to Solaris, JES) Performance tuning Sizing and Benchmarking Technology adoption Technical training and workshop Duties and Responsibilities: Advise software developers on architecture, methodologies, practises and tools. Review customer"s software development plans and evangelise Sun"s software roadmap. Lead in porting, sizing, performance tuning, benchmarking activities for the assigned partners. Skills Required: Strong technical knowledge in Unix internals (Solaris preferred) Hands on coding experience with C/C++/Java Knowledge of Object Oriented programming and design patterns Hands-on experience of debugging, performance tuning, sizing Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to influence technical managers and software developers Qualifications: A Bachelor"s degree (Master"s preferred) in Computer Science, plus a minimum of 5 years experience in software development or software support.
