We are seeking respected and self motivated System Test Leader for our new development center. You will have these responsibilities: Supervise team of system test engineers responsible for developing and implementing test plans, procedures, and test documentation. Forecast, plan and schedule testing resources including people and equipment for efficient execution Track processes and metrics to improve system test time and quality Coach/train/mentor engineers on best practices for system testing including automated testing and validation Ensure highest quality of testing through reviews of processes, test plans, procedures, and results Oversee the design and implementation of automated test frameworks with focus on scalability, protocol conformance and data integrity Support the team in developing testing methodologies for existing and new technologies Actively support team usage of defect tracking system and metrics capturing tools Coordinate validation testing for TSD projects with San Jose Test team Ensure alignment of test coverage with product requirements and engineering functional specifications Motivate team to excellence in both productivity and quality Accurate and frequent communications on team status and issues to San Jose management Perform testing and automation development tasks 50% of time. Preferred Experience Requirements: Extensive prior experience in hardware engineering, software engineering, quality engineering and/or network quality assurance through combined education/work experience, typically gained with 7 years hands-on experience or graduation from accredited college and 5 years working experience. Extensive prior experience in developing and implementing test plans and procedures and test documentation Understanding of QA methodologies as applied to telecommunications, networking products, wired or wireless Knowledge of network management SW architectures and requirements Knowledge of embedded operating system implementations Direct supervision experience in telecommunications or networking company Excellent personal time management English Proficiency: 1 Able to read and accurately understand technical materials written in English 2 Can write and communicate in English with engineers in US headquarters Troubleshooting skills with demonstrated experience isolating complex hardware/software issues to root cause Experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas will be greatly valued: Experience working in hardware and software quality assurance ISO9000 or SEI rated organizations.
