Closely collaborate with other world-wide Thomson R centers, the market leader on xDSL products. Job description : Lead of test preparation and execution for validations of xDSL CPE products. i.e. prepare and perform manual and automated system- and network integration tests. Report and verify problems on modem equipment and integrate the interworking with in-house and external xDSL equipment. Build a helicopter-view of the global project in order to plan, folllow-up, report on and steer the projects within the test team, on generic and customer-specific projects for major service providers. Act as an interface for the communication between hardware, software, validation and pre-sales departments located in Thomson"s worldwide R centers. Report on the quality of the product to Thomson"s R , product and program management. Communicate and coordinate with a worldwide system architecture and software team in order to rapidly solve products defects on bleeding edge Triple-play technologies such as Ethernet-in-the-first mile, next generation wireless and Voice and Video over IP technologies. Take part in the effective validation work of the project you lead. Continuously thrive to maintain and improve the high quality standards in the of the Thomson products Required profile : General Fluent English language: Mandatory Excellent communication capability: Mandatory Analytical and quality driven mindset: Mandatory High degree of initiative and responsibility Specific Master degree in Electrical engineering, Computer Science or related discipline. Three years working experience in testing and/or test automation. One or more years of experience in leading a small to medium-sized test team. SmartBits or similar testing instruments. Experience in scripting languages: TCL, perl, Unix Shell.
