Focus is on design, development and maintenance of the industry’s best IP Phones. Candidates must have a proven track record in software development, project planning, execution and sustaining for VoIP products. Candidates must have strong teamwork, excellent communication, problem-solving and team-leading and building skills with a dedication to work in a fast moving multi-site global company like Cisco and an exciting city like Shanghai. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING To manage multiple projects involving multiple teams around the world. This includes project planning, feasibility study, tracking and execution environment. To evaluate, hire, lead, motivate and grow the team . To mentor and provide frequent guidance to junior team members In conjunction with your peers, to set the priorities for the team and to remove roadblocks for the team as needed. Resource allocation and scheduling, cross team coordination in the areas of Unified Communications products from sustaining functions to new product development Quality must be on the highest level . This will involve working with a variety of functions (other S/W, H/W, Test/QA, manufacturing, other 3 rd party vendors, Also the use of S/W development tools and processes to help in achieving that quality. To provide guidance and execution of ISO standard compliance procedures. Customers are always top priority, and processes and procedures to be able to support them must be in place. To keep up with new technologies and developments in SW development to ensure the productivity and highest quality Be willing to travel occasionally and attend frequent off-hour meetings with other Cisco teams around the world SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED INCLUDING Demonstrated leadership and project management skills Must have oral and written fluency in Mandarin and English Superior work ethic and understanding the US and China cultures Excellent communication and presentation skills. Excellent negotiation skills. Experience dealing with 3 rd party vendors. Experience with a multi-National would be an asset. Ability to learn new technologies quickly Working experiences in embedded real-time projects and device driver/firmware development for voice related products Excellent problem-solving skills under the real-time complex situations Solid understanding of the complete software development and support life cycle. In-depth knowledge of IP Phone technology, Rich experience with Unix/Linux and Windows clients and servers Demonstrated ability to successfully influence win-win cross-functional dynamics Experience with the protocols including but not limited to: CDP, DHCP, DNS, TFTP, SCCP, SIP, RTP, sRTP, IPSec, VPNs, SSL, HTTPS, NAT, TLS, X.509, UDP, TCP and IP Experience with C/C++, Java/J2EE, XML, UI Broad knowledge of IP network protocols and network design including Cisco router and switch configuration.
