SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Based in Shanghai and reporting to PMG Director, this position will be responsible for operating the project management in Africa. PRINCIPLE DUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES: Accountable for overall project profitability. Responsible for optimizing cash flow over the life of the projects. Developing and maintaining the relationship with customers. Adherence to budgets within the agreed RPIS. Working with the customer"s senior management team in support of their overall strategy. Controlling the Project Schedule. Managing the WBS task execution according to published schedules. Determines policy and strategy for the Project with inputs from the Program Board. Line management of project team, determining priority, setting the quality of work performed by the team, and adherence to the quality manual. Analyzing the methodology and performance of the project critically, and implementing improvements to increase productivity. Maintaining primary contact with the customer"s policy makers and strategists. Assigning personnel to respond to queries or to tackle specific assignments as and when required. Owns the Action Item list and adds actions as required. Reports regularly to the PMG Director and OPM Management on relevant matters and items of concern. Maintaining an appropriate and stable head-count for the project and mix of skills to ensure that deadlines and objectives are maintained. Sales and revenue forecasting for the Management Information System. Manage and maintain all extension of time claims. Compiling the Statement of Work with the input from the project team members. Preparing and updating the project schedule. Co-ordinate internal training requirements to meet the customer expectations. Maintenance of project quality plans. Preparation of regular reports for customer meetings. Assistance with the identification of and implementation of processes and procedures to facilitate smooth project operation. Frequent overseas travel is required. WORK EXPERIENCE&ABILITIES REQUIRED: A Bachelor above degree. Minimum of 3 years experience in project management, Telecom industry experience is preferred. Ideally some experience working in a multinational environment. Very good communication and inter-personal skills. Flexibility and teamwork, ability to manage people. Strong in communication and cooperation amongst different parties. Sedulous and studious, enterprising and responsible. LANGUAGE ABILITY: Fluent spoken and written English, clear written and oral expression.
