MSRA is a strong research organization of 300 research/development talents working on many areas, such as computer vision, digital media, wireless networks, search and data mining. In the past eight years, MSRA has published over 1000 papers in top rated journals and 100 technology transfers into our core products such as Office, Tablet PC, Xbox, MSN and Windows. The innovations at MSRA get noticed by academia and IT industry around world. It was named the hottest computer lab in the world by MIT《Technology Review》in 2004. Roles&Responsibilities We are looking for an experienced Development Lead to help build our innovation / incubation / technology transfer efforts. In this role you will be responsible for engineering aspects of many projects which are based on the latest research results at MSRA. You will architect and build systems using these new technologies that can fit into and benefit MS product lines. You will incubate new product concepts; translate ideas and prototypes into reality. You are expected to lead a team of 5-6 developers, think outside the box and dig into tough technical challenges. Required Qualifications Experience in shipping products with at least 2 full development cycles and 2 versions of software products in an enterprise environment. Must possess solid design, coding and debugging skills 5+ years experience with COM and Win32; excellent C/C++ skills; SQL, OLE DB and web services Ability to quickly come up to speed on new technologies and unfamiliar code Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well with other teams and groups, across different disciplines and geographic regions. A BS/MS in computer science or related field or equivalent experience is required. Chinese language skill is a plus, but not required. This position is based in Beijing. Relocation to China is needed .
