Closely collaborate with other world-wide Thomson R centers, the market leader on xDSL products. Job description : Validate the technical implementation of the Thomson gateway products by means of black-box testing Create, maintain and refine test cases and requirements for regression and new feature validation Communicate and coordinate with a worldwide software team in order to rapidly solve products defects Contribute your technical expertise to system architecture and software development engineers on bleeding edge Triple-play technologies such as Ethernet-in-the-first mile, next generation wireless and Voice and Video over IP technologies Continuously thrive to maintain and improve the high quality standards of the Thomson products Required profile : General Fluent English language: Mandatory Good communication capability: Mandatory Analytical and quality driven mindset: Mandatory High degree of initiative and responsibility Specific Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering, Computer Science or related discipline (Masters preferred). 2 years working experience in testing and/or test automation. Experience with SmartBits or similar testing instruments. Telecom background Mandatory Solid background in networking including relevant experience in a subset of the following technologies: xDSL based technologies ADSL (2+) SHDSL (bis) VDSL (2) EFM WAN protocols: PPPoE PPPoA CIP IpoA Layer 2 / 2.5 technologies Ethernet ATM WLAN (802.11 a/b/g/n) VLAN IP based technologies DHCP / DNS / SNTP NAT/NAPT UPnP Security technologies : IPSec / SSL / SSH AAA, RADIUS Firewall / IDS Triple Play technologies : VOIP: H.323, SIP, MGCP Video over IP, Multicast&IGMP Fixed-mobile convergence Optional Experience in configuring following devices DSLAM (Alcatel / Nortel / ZTE / Huawei) ATM switches (Marconi) Router&BRAS (Cisco / Redback / Alcatel / Juniper) Experience in scripting languages: TCL, perl, Unix Shell Experience in product certification: Wifi / UPNP / DTM (WHQL) Experience and potential in leadership and project management is a good plus Software tools Bug reporting tools: Clearquest / DDTS / Bugzilla Network sniffers: Ethereal / Airopeek Skilled in using Windows (Vista)&Linux/Unix networking capabilities.
