职位描述/要求: Position Overview The Linguistic Coordinator works with the Linguistic Quality Manager to measure and monitor the linguistic quality of Simplified, Traditional Chinese and Korean across Adobe products. This is a full-time, contract position. Essential Job Functions Work with product teams, international program managers (IPMs) and translation vendors around the world to assist with the identification and initial translation of key terminology. Maintain terminology database entries for translated terms. Train, guide and monitor vendor translators regarding consistent term usage. Research existing term usage and translation style to identify areas for linguistic improvement. Recommend strategies for correcting translation errors and inconsistencies across products. Escalate difficult terminology issues to the corporate Terminology Council. Provide the Terminology Council with business case justifications for translation recommendations. Work with the Vendor Manager to recruit, qualify (review translation samples), and monitor software and documentation reviewers for Chinese and Korean. Work with the International Product managers to develop and maintain a network of domain experts, power users and Adobe regional office contacts to provide expert translation advice and user feedback on translation quality. Work with IPMs to schedule reviewers (vendors, power users, regional offices) for localization projects. Write, edit and maintain Chinese and Korean style guides for software, documentation and marketing materials. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Chinese or Korean Language and Literature, Linguistics, or Computational Linguistics. Master degree or advanced study preferred. 3-5 years experience working on large, complex software localization projects as a Chinese or Korean translator or language lead at a localization vendor or software company. Previous experience with Adobe products as a translator, reviewer or user highly desirable. Ability to work in the Adobe Beijing offices. Previous work or study experience in the United States or Canada highly desirable. Skills/Abilities Native speaker proficiency in either Chinese or Korean, advanced proficiency in Chinese, Korean and English. Excellent English speaking and writing skills. Thorough knowledge of localization processes and procedures for software and documentation. Advanced user of translation and terminology tools such as Trados, SDLX, Catalyst, Passolo, MultiTerm, etc. Excellent analytical skills. Ability to balance the art and science of translation. Ability to choose the “best” translation given cost, time and resource constraints. Detailed oriented, organized and passionate about linguistic quality and customer service. Ability to work with cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary teams across multiple time zones. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Good business sense and the ability to negotiate and resolve issues between various stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Project. Ability to work with database tools such as Access, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL highly desirable. .
