You will be responsible for designing and developing innovative new mobile productsand technologies, including community-based applications (similar to MySpace and Flickr but on the phone), video services, and location-based services (LBS). You will be working on the next-generation of our technology and challenged to scale our database infrastructure to support 1 million subscribers using the latest technologies, including SQL Server 2005, clustering, and distributed databases. Job Description: We are looking for a database software engineer with strong hands on development experience on SQL Server 2000 and 2005. In this job, you will be responsible for: 鈥� Designing and developing complex productsand services on schedule. 鈥� Working with Java J2EE engineers to develop the data access layer that is shared between multiple projects 鈥� Working with our DBA’s and database architect to analyze and optimize our database backend. 鈥� Participating in the whole software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to product launch 鈥� Working with customers and other departments to specify project requirements Required Skills: 鈥� Over 3 years of solid MS SQL Server development experience. 鈥� A thorough understanding of MS SQL Server 2000/2005 鈥� Expert in writing Transact-SQL include stored procedure, trigger, view and schema 鈥� Hands-on experience in SQL tuning and database performance tuning 鈥� Experience designing schemas 鈥� Experience in designing scalable and failover database systems 鈥� Experience developing high transaction volume SQL server installations (>2500 tps) 鈥� Experience with database-backed J2EE web sites, a plus 鈥� Experience developing data warehouses, a plus 鈥� Understand database security, backup and recovery. 鈥� Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills 鈥� Team player, proactive and loves technology.
